I have wanted to get a likeness of Ernie in time for the Lord Mayor of Leeds and the Morley Murals visit this past week. So i have been concentrating on his head, using original photographs kindly lent to me by Ernies widow Doreen. His "short fat hairy legs" still remain within the stone block.It was a concious decision to leave them until last.
