Please come and see 'WAVES OF CONFLICT' at Wakefield cathedral as part of the Wakefield Art Walk event. I will be there between 5pm and 9pm to explain the piece and answer any questions. Admission is free and takes place on the evening of 28th of January.

'Waves of Conflict' by Melanie Wilks is a response to the centenary of the start of World War One, carved from a variety of different stones to reflect the many nations involved in the First World War.
'The Wakefield Crib' by the distinguished sculpter Austin Wright (1911-1997) can be seen toghether with Theo Moorman's tapestry backdrop.
A selection of beautiful icons from a private collection will be on display for one night only.
'Waves of Conflict' will be on display during Cathedral opening hours until the last week of February.
